Using outdated manual hydraulic hand-presses for high-pressure operations introduces several major issues:

  • Inconsistent Pellet Density: Manual pumping makes it difficult to maintain a consistent rate of pressure increase, which can lead to internal shear stresses, structural cracks, or capping (where the pellet splits horizontally upon ejection).
  • Labor-Intensive Workflows: Consistently pressing pellets at 40, 50, or 60 tons of force manually is physically exhausting for lab technicians, drastically limiting daily throughput.
  • Physical Safety Concerns: Operating at such high pressures carries risks. If a die fails or shatters under load, manual presses without safety shields can put lab personnel in serious danger.

  • Programmable Compression Cycles: Through a user-friendly 7-inch color touchscreen interface, operators can program multi-stage compression profiles. Users can easily set parameters like pre-pressing force, dwell time, final consolidation force, and controlled decompression rates, which are crucial for preventing cracks in delicate ceramic materials.
  • Rugged, Durable Design: To safely handle 60 tons of continuous force, the machine is built with high-tensile alloy pillars and a monolithic steel base, keeping structural flex to a minimum. The pressing platens are made of ultra-hard, wear-resistant steel to prevent surface warping over years of heavy use.
  • Full-Enclosure Safety Shielding: The pressing area is completely enclosed behind a high-impact polycarbonate safety door. The machine features an electronic interlock system that prevents operation unless the safety door is fully closed, ensuring complete protection for laboratory operators.
